Step 1: Obtain Your Google Analytics Tracking Code
Sign Up for Google Analytics:
Go to the Google Analytics website.
Log in with your Google account or create a new one.
Create a New Property:
Click Admin (gear icon, bottom-left).
Under Account, select or create an account.

Select Web as the platform.

Log in to the HitMe Panel:
Open your HitMe panel in a browser.
Log in with admin credentials.
Go to Analytics / SEO > Integrations:
From the left sidebar, navigate to Website > Analytics / SEO.
Click Integrations.
Insert the Tracking Code:
Find the field labeled Google Analytics Tracking Code.
Paste the entire Global Site Tag (gtag.js) script into this field.
Ensure the entire script is pasted, including
Save Changes:
Click Save to apply your updates.
Step 3: Verify Google Analytics Integration
Check Your Website:
Open your website in a browser.
Use browser developer tools (e.g., Chrome DevTools):
Right-click page → Inspect → Network tab.
Filter for gtag.js to confirm the tracking script loads.
Check Google Analytics Real-Time Data:
Log in to Google Analytics.
Go to the Real-Time section.
Verify your visit is being tracked (activity should appear).
Optional: Use Google Tag Assistant:
Install the Google Tag Assistant Chrome extension.
Run it on your website to check tag status and detect issues.
Step 4: Troubleshooting
Incomplete or Incorrect Code:
Ensure you pasted the entire Global Site Tag, with no missing parts.
Clear Browser Cache:
Clear your cache or test in incognito mode to load the latest site version.
Verify Code Placement:
Confirm the code is correctly inserted in the HitMe panel’s integration field.
Verify Google Analytics Property:
Check that the Tracking ID matches your Google Analytics property.
Disable Ad Blockers:
Ad blockers/extensions may block Google Analytics. Disable them temporarily for testing.
Step 5: Monitor and Use Google Analytics
Audience Insights: Analyze visitor demographics, interests, location, and devices.
Acquisition Reports: Understand traffic sources like organic search, paid ads, or referrals.
Behavior Reports: See popular pages, user paths, and bounce rates.
Conversion Tracking: Set up Goals to track form submissions, sales, or other actions.
